Cuento cantado para preescolar como material didáctico de Educación Ambiental sobre el manejo de residuos sólidos urbanos

RESUMEN La generación de residuos es uno de los problemas característicos de la crisis ambiental global que enfrenta la sociedad. La educación ambiental (EA) surgió como una propuesta para enfrentar esta crisis y su objetivo es lograr conductas racionales a favor del desarrollo social y ambiental para garantizar la preservación de la vida. La EA debe impartirse en todas las etapas de desarrollo del ser humano y para ello se requieren materiales que promuevan actitudes y comportamientos de protección y cuidado del ambiente. El presente proyecto tuvo como objetivo diseñar un cuento cantado (canticuento) para niños de nivel preescolar como material didáctico de educación ambiental sobre el manejo de residuos sólidos urbanos. Por medio de una revisión bibliográfica se Identificó información que indica que los niños de preescolar pueden diferenciar distintos tipos de residuos para separarlos y disponerlos en los contenedores correspondientes, los cuales deben identificarse por medio de colores y/o símbolos. El diseño del canticuento se basó en estos hallazgos y en él se incluyeron conceptos como separación, papel y cartón, metal, botellas de plástico, así como los siguientes valores: responsabilidad, empatía, consideración, resolución de problemas y la importancia de las acciones individuales. Los objetivos de aprendizaje de este material didáctico fueron que los estudiantes de preescolar aprendieran a: 1) Identificar los problemas del manejo inadecuado de los residuos; 2) Clasificar algunos de los residuos que deben separarse para su reciclaje; 3) Participar en el manejo adecuado de los residuos. La evaluación del canticuento se realizó por medio del juicio de expertos, quienes calificaron el material de acuerdo con criterios psicológicos, de contenido, pedagógicos y técnicos, y se realizó una prueba piloto con los estudiantes de un jardín de niños ubicado en el municipio de Jiutepec Morelos, con quienes el canticuento se presentó de manera virtual. De acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos de las evaluaciones por expertos, el contenido del canticuento es relevante y claro, propicia actitudes positivas en los estudiantes y tiene expresividad y emoción. Los estudiantes se observaron atentos y participativos durante la presentación virtual del canticuento.

ABSTRACT Waste generation is one of the characteristic problems of the global environmental crisis. Environmental Education (EE) emerged as a proposal to face this crisis and its objective is to achieve rational conduct in favor of social and environmental development to guarantee the preservation of life. EE must be taught at all ages and didactic materials that promote attitudes and behaviors of protection and care for the environment are required. The objective of this project was to design a storytelling song for preschool children as a didactic material for EE related to management of urban solid waste. Through a literature review it was found information that probes preschool children can identified different types of waste, and separate and dispose them in the corresponding containers, which must be identified by colors and/or symbols. The design of the storytelling song was based on these findings, and it included concepts such as separation, paper and cardboard, metal, plastic bottles, as well as the following values: responsibility, empathy, consideration, problem solving and the importance of individual actions. The learning objectives of this didactic material were: 1) To identify the problems of inadequate waste management; 2) To classify and separate the waste for recycling; 3) To participate in the proper management of waste. The evaluation of the storytelling song was carried out through the judgment of experts, who qualified the material according to psychological, content, pedagogical and technical criteria. A pilot test was also carried out with students from a kindergarten located in the municipality of Jiutepec, Morelos, with whom the storytelling song was presented virtually. According to the results obtained from the judgment of experts, the content of the storytelling song is relevant and clear, it fosters positive attitudes in the students, and it has expressiveness and emotion. The students were attentive and participatory during the virtual presentation of the storytelling song.
